The Last Event.

Hi all and welcome to the report on the last event, Belleville, Ontario, Canada, was the venue for this national car show of the North American M G B Register, Hosted by the MG Car Club of Toronto, I arrived on the wednesday lunch time and soon after the rest of the 240 cars started to turn up for what was a great weekend of events lined up for us to enjoy.
It all started on wednesday evening with a BBQ hosted by the local British Car Group the Bonnet & Boot Club, then it was back to the host hotel for a meet and greet drink and buffet.
Thursday there was a road run of around 90 miles with visits to some of the areas places of interest, and then back to the host hotel for a BBQ and drinks for all the ralliers.
Friday was track day at Shannonville Raceway, Ontario, around 50 MG's and some guess cars went on track to enjoy some track time in there cars, then it was back to the hotel to get ready for the nights entertainment this was a trip to Trenton Air Base to look around the museum and a great collection of Aircraft on show, then to the Officers Mess for dinner.
Saturday was the main car show where a good selection of cars from the T Types of the 40's to my 2003 TF, and a couple of modern Minis, the day stared of dry but it did start to rain around 11 am and stayed for the rest of the day (made me fell right at home) but every one stayed to enjoy all the games that had been organised with valve cover races being the main challenge, then it was time to get ready for dinner and the show awards evening, I was lucky enough to get a 3rd place in my group even with a damaged front bumper, so onto sunday (all to soon) it was time to load the cars and say our goodbyes and head home, for me that was a 550 mile trip back down to Baltimore Docks to ship the TF back to the UK and to get my flight on wednesday evening home to await a phone call to say that the car has landed back at Southampton for me collect.
I will post the rest of the photos and all the stats on the trip in about a weeks time when I get back from France and the 24Hr classic Le Mans event.
See you all soon.
