Report # Two

Just reporting in, spent a couple of hours with Ed and Pete at Motorcar Garage on monday great pair of guys rearly enjoyed the visit, did a bit of driving today tuesday (around 360 mile), left Philly around 9am and headed down into Delaware on I13 all the way down and over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel WOW what a drive that was, carried on to Richmond and I have now stopped for the night in Chester VA, so I can spend all day tomorrow sight seeing with just a bit of local running around.
Drove to Yorktown today (wednesday) and went to the visitors centre to have a look around, this is the place where some years ago a guy named Washington with the help of the French gave us British a bit of a beating, very interesting great place to visit if your ever in the area.
Thursday on the road again today going into North Carolina (state # 6) to meet up with the MG'ers from the Greesboro/Winston-Salem area for a night out at Hooters !!

First Report

Hi to every one and welcome to the first report from the other side of the pond with my TF135, had a small delay getting it out of the docks but I did get to meet up with the Baltimore MG Club on thursday evening and although they did not get to see the car as planed we had a good time at dinner and had a real good chat, Great bunch of guys.
Got under way friday afternoon and drove the 200 mile's from Baltimore MD to Dover NJ to go and take part in the MG Drivers Club Cecil Kimber Run on the saturday, I joined around 40 cars (not all MG's) but all British, and I was made very welcome and every one was very interested in the TF and could not understand why it was not imported into the US as they all said that it would sell like hot cakes and they all wanted one,(even a Chinese one).
The drive was about 80 mile long with some great scenery and some good MG roads with plenty of twists and turns, we stopped for lunch around half way and had a small free raffle where I had the pleasure of presenting the prices, then it was back on the road for the second part of the run, great start to what I think is going to be a adventure of a lifetime.
